These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ImgCompress WhatsApp bot ("the bot", "the service", "we", "us"). By sending a message to the bot you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the bot.
The service
The bot receives an image you send over WhatsApp, compresses it on our backend server, and sends the smaller version back to you. The service is provided free of charge.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the bot to:
- Send content that is illegal, or that you do not have the right to send.
- Send child sexual abuse material, or content that is abusive, hateful, or harassing.
- Abuse, overload, or attack the service, including spam, automated flooding, or attempts to break it.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or rebrand the service as your own.
We may block any user who breaks these rules, without notice.
Your content
You keep all rights to the images you send. You grant us a limited right to process your image only to compress it and return the result. We do not keep a copy after processing. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Availability
We try to keep the bot running but we do not promise it will always be available, fast, or error free. We may change, pause, or shut down the service at any time without notice.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Compression may reduce image quality. You are responsible for keeping your own original files. We do not guarantee any specific output, file size, or quality.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the bot, including lost or altered images, lost data, or service downtime. Since the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to zero.
Third party services
The bot runs over WhatsApp, owned by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by Meta's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for WhatsApp.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The "Effective" date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the bot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
