This policy explains what data the ImgCompress WhatsApp bot ("the bot", "we", "us") collects when you send it an image, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By sending a message to the bot you agree to this policy.
Who runs this service
The bot is operated by Dayamoy Maji. For any privacy question or request, email imgcompress@dayamoy.com.
What we collect
- Images you send. When you message the bot a photo, that image is received by our backend server so it can be compressed and sent back to you.
- Your WhatsApp identifier. Your phone number and WhatsApp profile name are provided to us by WhatsApp so the bot can reply to the right chat.
- Message metadata. Timestamps and message IDs needed to process a request and return the result.
- Basic logs. Technical logs (for example file size, image format, and error messages) used to operate and debug the service.
What we do not collect
- We do not read, store, or analyze the content of your images beyond compressing them.
- We do not build advertising profiles.
- We do not collect contacts, location, or other WhatsApp data we were not sent.
How we use your data
We use the image and metadata for one purpose: to compress the picture you sent and deliver the smaller version back to you over WhatsApp. Logs are used only to keep the service running and to fix problems.
How long we keep it
- Images: processed in memory or temporary storage and deleted right after the compressed result is sent back. We do not keep a copy.
- Technical logs: retained for a short period for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted. Logs do not contain your image content.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. Your messages pass through WhatsApp / Meta, which handles them under its own privacy policy. We may use infrastructure providers (server hosting) strictly to run the service. We will disclose data only if required by law.
Security
Image transfers happen over encrypted connections. We limit how long data lives on our server and restrict access to it. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep retention minimal to reduce risk.
Your rights
You can stop using the bot at any time. Since images are deleted right after compression, there is normally nothing stored to delete. For any request about your data, email imgcompress@dayamoy.com. See our Data Deletion page for steps.
Children
The bot is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "Effective" date above shows the latest version. Continued use of the bot after a change means you accept the updated policy.
